Prof. Avv. Simone Lonati

Attorney-at-law and professor in Italian criminal procedure and European criminal Procedure at Bocconi University in Milan, Simone Lonati decided to establish his own law firm in 2018 after a ten-year experience as senior partner in a top-ranked Italian law firm. He also teaches in the Postgraduate Specialization School for Legal Professions at Bocconi University in Milan and at Pavia University.

During his career Simone Lonati has provided legal and advisory services, in and out of court, to major financial and industrial institutions, both Italian and International, gaining significant experience in all areas of economic criminal law with a specific focus on corporate and property crimes, bankruptcy, crimes against the public administration (criminal law for the public administration) and environmental criminal law.

He has often dealt with matters involving the administrative liability of corporations for criminal offences and he is member of several Supervisory Bodies. Further, he has offered consulting services in the drafting and reviewing procedures of the organizational, management and control models of corporations in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 231/2001.

He is member of the editorial committee of the law journals “Archivio della nuova procedura penale” and “Diritto Penale Contemporaneo” and of the panel of experts of the law journal “Media Laws”.

He has been a member of the “Gruppo di Esperti Valutatori” in the legal science area with the purpose to assess the “Qualità della Ricerca 2011-2014”.

He has been lecturer in many conferences and training courses in the criminal law field.

He is the author of several monographs and publications in trade journals, both national and international, and in 2013 he obtained the Excellence in Research Award from Bocconi University.
